Luckiamute Watershed Council (LWC) will conduct restoration activities on North Fork Pedee Creek. LWC will install 16 large woody debris structures, totaling 375 logs, along 0.71 stream miles of the North Fork of Pedee Creek, in the Luckiamute watershed. In addition, 1,100 native conifers will be planted throughout the project reach, to provide future sources of large wood. The objectives include: slow winter high flows, re-aggrading channel bedload, sorting gravels, and reconnecting the floodplain. These outcomes will create and improve Pacific lamprey spawning and rearing habitat, prolong access to critical floodplain habitat during high flows, buffer water temperatures against warming trends, and increase water retention in the landscape, thereby improving summer flows.
