Yakama Nation Fisheries (YNF) maintains a broad and strong presence in many aspects of natural resource management, protection, and restoration throughout the Columbia River Basin. Through a long history of resource management, YNF has developed complex and substantive relationships with tribal, federal, state and local governments and non-governmental organizations for the purposes of improving Columbia Basin ecological conditions and to increase harvest opportunities for our tribal membership. YNF requires enhanced capabilities towards regional coordination in implementation of ongoing and innovative management directions.

The Regional Coordinator provides coordination, facilitation, and technical and policy analytical services to YNF staff. The purpose of this position is to support the Yakama Nation interests in regional fish and wildlife issues and to provide technical support to YNF. The Regional Coordinator is directly supervised by the Hydro Systems Oversight Coordinator and works closely with senior technical staff from all relevant tribal, federal, state and local governments, non-governmental organizations and with the Northwest Power and Conservation Council and the Bonneville Power Administration staffs. The Regional Coordinator actively participates in various regional and local forums relevant to YNF interests and  maintains strong communication and coordination with YNF technical staff with regards to findings from these various forums.
